Welcome to Glendale Lutheran School
Our preschool through eighth grade students receive an excellent education in a Christ-centered environment. Our certificated teachers guide students in setting and meeting high expectations in all developmental areas: intellectual/academic, social, physical, emotional, and spiritual, using best practices aligned with current research about teaching, learning, and brain development.
Letter from the Principal
January Newsletter
Dear Families,
During this time of year we traditionally gather with our families, taking time to think about our many blessings. In
expressing our thankfulness, we also serve as Jesus’ hands and feet, serving those in our community who can use support.
As principal of Glendale Lutheran School, I see so many blessings as I walk the halls and visit classrooms. Each of your children is truly a precious miracle, one of a kind, endowed by our Lord with talents and potential to live a successful and
productive life according to His purposes. Our students are amazing, greeting each day with joy, enthusiasm, and a commitment to do their best. Of course, the families of our students make it possible for these children to shine, providing
a solid home environment, high expectations, and partnership with school on behalf of their children.
I also feel thankful to recognize that we are blessed with a very talented team of staff members. Each teacher brings
knowledge, skills, and experience to see each child as an individual and to design the learning program that will best develop his or her potential. They love the students and work tirelessly to support them. A commitment to small class sizes ensures that education in truly personalized and effective. Of course, our Parent Teacher Organization (PTO), school board, and church congregation provide strong leadership and support that guides us into the future.
Together we form the nurturing and challenging Glendale Lutheran School learning community, a place in which children and young adults discover a joy for learning and develop the foundation that launches a lifetime of success. In this vibrant community of learning, we recognize our calling to make a difference in the world beyond our walls, with students identifying, leading, and implementing actions that impact today and tomorrow in powerful ways. From organizing food drives, developing Public Service Announcements, launching mission work, and more, our students put their faith into action in service to
our communities and world.
Indeed, so many blessings fill our school and for that I am grateful to our Lord and I am grateful to all of you for the important roles that you play in making this so. On behalf our entire school, I thank you for your wonderful support.
