                      Curriculum

Each child brings special strengths, talents, and learning styles. With our small class sizes and dedicated teachers, we recognize the uniqueness of each student and provide excellent instruction to ensure that all children reach their potential. Our learning goals and daily targets meet and exceed the learning standards of the state of Washington. Our emphasis on the “whole child” ensures that each student becomes a well-rounded individual.

The Christian faith is taught in religion classes and integrated into all subjects. Students' faith is nurtured and developed as they learn to discern God's purpose for their lives and to live in accordance with His direction.  Regularly scheduled curriculum reviews are conducted by the faculty to continually study and make improvements in the curriculum.

Throughout the school program, students are guided in their development of basic skills and higher level thinking skills. When possible, curriculum is integrated to foster thinking that can be applied to real life. Students develop the abilities to solve problems, reason, communicate, and work effectively with others.

                      Educational Support

                      Technology
Glendale Lutheran School integrates technology into its curriculum as a tool to facilitate teaching and learning, enabling students to thrive in society. Technology exists as a very powerful, essential tool in the education process for both students and staff. Technology is not a separate curriculum, but an appropriate part of every curriculum at every level of instruction.

Library The library contains a collection of fiction and nonfiction books for children of all grade levels plus reference materials. Classes are scheduled for library periods at least once per week. Children are encouraged to check out books for recreational reading and research.
