Success in Learning
Each child brings special strengths, talents, and learning styles. With our small class sizes and dedicated teachers, we recognize the uniqueness of each student and provide excellent instruction to ensure that all children reach their potential. Our learning goals meet and exceed Washington State essential learning requirements. Our emphasis on the “whole child” ensures that each student becomes a well-rounded individual.
Involvement in the Arts
Our students work with a dedicated art specialist to learn skills and express their creativity. Our physical education specialist guides students in developing their physical abilities, caring for their body, and learning how to participate in a wide variety of sports. Participation in school music classes and optional afternoon choir helps students to develop their musical abilities. Students in fourth through sixth grade may participate in an optional beginning and advanced band program before school.
A Community of Learners and Leaders
Our students at are surrounded by a community of caring adults who help ensure each child’s success. Parents are actively involved in all aspects of the school program. Grandpals join classrooms to share wisdom and listen to emerging readers share their new skills. The staff members work together as a professional learning community, continually enhancing their own education and working collaboratively to meet student needs. Students join together as a community of learners, with older students increasingly assuming leadership roles throughout the school. Together we prepare all of our students to become the leaders of tomorrow’s world.
